The city of Portimão will once again become a true "Christmas Dream" between November 29th and January 6th, recreating several thematic attraction centers - one of which is unprecedented - inspired by the festive season and completely free, crossing the Christmas universe with moments of fantasy and fun aimed at the whole family.

Arrival of Santa Claus and decorative lighting

On November 29, around 5:00 pm, Santa Claus will arrive in Portimão (Praça 1º de Maio) with the promise of a lot of celebration and fun for families and children. The arrival of the greatest figure of this festive season will coincide with the inauguration of the Christmas lighting, scheduled for 18:00 pm in Praça da República, with an immersive show of color, light and music, which can be enjoyed daily, every hour, from 18:00.

The 2024 edition of "Portimão, A Christmas Dream" will have another themed space, which will be announced soon, and will feature several scenarios alluding to the Christmas imaginary, with the daily shows and performances on the Christmas Stage in Praça da República, where there will also be no shortage of street parades with themed parades, routes on the already indispensable Christmas Train, and amusements on the natural Ice Rink, without forgetting visits to the Christmas Market, the Santa Claus House and Factory, in addition to other news.

Entertainment in the three parishes of the municipality

In the year in which Portimão celebrates 100 years as a city, the Municipality seeks to provide residents and visitors with unique experiences in several emblematic places and in its three parishes, giving special attention to the youngest, who have the opportunity to travel in an imaginary of dream and fantasy, taking into account the various audiences that are expected in this very special season.
